ARRIVED All fabrication was done in the R P Art Studio in Seattle, Washington USA, between December 2008 and June 2009 by Ulrich Pakker. The images below begin with suspending the flat sheets of 10 gauge (0.1345 inch thick) stainless steel in the air in what will be their approximate positions. Then with an array of winches, hoists, come-alongs, Spanish windlasses, tacks, levers, shimmies and clamps, Ulrich pulls in the edges, fits together and welds the curvaceous forms. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() The glass arcs are cut from 3/4" clear glass and glued together with a special glass glue available from HIS Glassworks. After they are glued into a solid piece, the glass arcs are polished on the top and bottom sides to increase the glow of the internal lights. ![]()
