THE GLASS FOUNTAINS OF ULRICH PAKKER The transformation of flat metal into curves begins Ulrich's creative process. Once bent, the metal becomes liquid to join together edges and create a seamless seemingly solid work. Water seeemed an obvious partner in this slow-motion dance. Taking the water and transforming it into the glacially slow flow of glass, the sculpture becomes an ever-changing work that moves with the pace of eons and universes. And in this way, Ulrich creates his Glass Fountains. Add an endless string of LEDs and the night-dream is complete.
